Brick Street loves to support young and emerging artists who are eager to dialogue with the public via their work. Currently there is no studio space available but studio space may be available to rent in the Fall. "Transitions" exhibit will run from August 23rd to September 25th and will feature the work of Louisville artists: , Shamia Gaither, Katherine McCadden, Irene Reed, Diana Taylor, Ali Wine and Eriko Whittaker. Three of these artists are proud alum of the Kentucky Governor School for the Arts. All six artists will be exploring the idea of transitions as they themselves navigate changes in personal identity, location, work, multiple communities and a post-pandemic world.

These are quiet times at Brick Street. Right now due to Covid 19 the studio is closed to the public, however it is the staging ground for GSA 2020 supply distribution for the Visual Arts Program.
Resident artist, Susie Harrison, is a proud member of the visual art faculty for this gifted and talented summer program that sadly will be virtual this summer. Usually it is held at the University of Kentucky. Brick Street Studio and Gallery is so pleased to be exhibiting the work of painter, Chelsea Harris in the months of April and May, 2019. Years ago Susie Harrison and Chelsea Harris met at the Kentucky Center Governor's School for the Arts. This show is a celebration of Chelsea's paintings as well as the rich network of GSA alum, faculty and supporters. See https://www.chelseaharrisart.com/ for more info about Chelsea Harris. Brick Street Studios is home to 4 artists with only one studio space left for rental.
Please contact Susie at 502-386-5481 if you are interested in joining our family of artists. Deb Ogburn, a creative expressionist therapist, has set up her studio at Brick Street and is now available for therapy sessions.
